ffs

After almost ten years of adapting to sleeping through gunshots, sirens, buses, and loud drunken dumb-asses in NYC, one would've assumed that there'd be nothing that could awaken such a hardened sleeper from his slumber.

No.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, The Golden Gate Foghorn.

It may sound relatively innocuous, but when played on a twenty second interval, it becomes very reminiscent of that particular droning part of the Terminator soundtrack. And as such, my primary fear is not falling asleep only to have clowns eat me--it's robots from Skynet (I blame spending too much time on teh Internets) [1].

And oh yes, it does get foggy here quite often.

[1] As big of an influence the Terminator series had on my development, my general fear of robots/computers probably actually stems from Superman III--particularly the scene towards the end of the film where the evil computer ingests one of the she-villains into its computational and literal machinations (also see: Virus). But, honestly, who talks about that movie nowadays?
